The Journey

Januarie Bennett, M.Ed, is a supervised clinician currently working with New Directions Wellness Clinic in Nashville.  She is actively working toward her LPC-MHSP licensure and has a passion for anxiety, hoarding, OCD, and trauma issues. She currently sees couples and individuals in office and via telehealth across the State of Tennessee.

Januarie graduated with a Master of Education degree from Lindsey Wilson University in Kentucky in 2016.  She has had experience working with geriatric clients, individuals dealing with addiction issues, problems with family of origin/trauma, anxiety and OCD, hoarding clients, and children in foster care through Centerstone.

She is dedicated to providing clinical experience, knowledge and education to help individuals trying to cope with anxiety disorders and issues, such as panic disorder, generalized and social anxiety, OCD, hoarding, and negative self concept and thinking.  Januarie also has a passion for helping those with childhood and adult trauma and has been trained in EMDR in 2025.

Utilizing CBT, ERP, nervous system regulation, somatic, and polyvagal techniques, Januarie sees a range of clients from every walk and stage of life who are overwhelmed and frustrated by symptoms of all of these issues.  The goal in her office is to provide an inclusive and understanding therapeutic environment, but one that is warm, down to earth, compassionate, and caring.  The most important thing is that clients feel a sense of being heard, seen, and supported throughout their journey of

healing.

Januarie lives in Middle Tennessee with her husband, mother, and 2 young children.  She enjoys spending time with her family, being a local recycled fabric artist, gardening, and playing with her two kittens.
